Asphalt shingle roofs are the most common roofs on residential structures.  What many people don't realize is that these roofs can be safely and effectively cleaned without doing any damage to the roof.  Experience is key when hiring a pro to clean your roof.  We have heard many stories of roofs that weren't cleaned properly and the ensuing damage.  Things like damage to the shingles, water intrusion, and workers being injured on your property are some of the worst.  A couple of things you should always ask a pro before they clean your roof are:

Does the contractor have liability and workers comp insurance?  (You should ask for a copy of the policy)

Does the contractor use a pressure washer to clean the roof?  (The only acceptable answer is no)

How many roofs has the contractor cleaned?  (We have cleaned over 10,000 roofs)

How long will it take before I see results?  (It should be immediately)
